Reported by Chen Qiangwei, a correspondent from Xinjiang Daily News: On April 28, at the construction site of Phase I Coal Made-gas Project (5.5 Billion Cubic Meters/Year) of XinJiang Kingho Energy Group, some workers are busying with preparation of filling the catalyst for a smooth production. “All the works of this project have been going through well, and it is expected to put into production in the second half of this year”, said by Xu Zhong, the Party Secretary and General Manager of Xinjiang Kingho Energy Group.
As the first modern coal and chemical project approved on state-level, Coal-to-Gas project (5.5 Billion Cubic Meter/Year) of Xinjiang Kingho has received great attention to its progress. “Up to now, the entire project have been mechanically completed, the power supply, water supply, coal supply and thermal power supply facilities have been under operation, 8 gasifiers have been successfully started, gas pipe lines have been ready for transmission, and it is planned to conduct linkage commisioning in June.” said by Xu Zhong.
The Goal-made Gas project (5.5 Billion Cubic Meter/Year) of Xinjiang Kingho Energy Group locates at the Yidong Industrial Park of Yining County with a total investment amount over 30 billion Yuan. This project can create sales income of 12 billion Yuan, contributing taxes of 2.5 billion Yuan and more than 10,000 jobs directly or indirectly once it is up and running. It ranks NO.1 among the State Modeling Projects of Coal Fine Processing of the 12th Five-year Plan. It is the largest state-level demonstration project among the private enterprise projects in China.
In the year of 2009, Xinjiang Kingho Energy Group Company Limited (hereafter referred as Xinjiang Kingho) settled in Xinjiang, and built the Kingho Recycling Economy Park targeted to realize the clean utilization of coal and to improve coal added value and develop a large coal-based natural gas industry system in Yining County.

The main structure construction of Phase I Coal Utilization Project (12 Million Tons/Year) invested by Xinjiang Kingho has been started in Sura Palance Industry Park recently. It was said that the project is a supporting project for the coal-to-gas project with an investment amount of 23.6 billion Yuan.” It has a positive demonstration effect on coal separation and clean and efficient utilization, and it is in line with the national industrial policies for priority industry planning.” indicated by Xu Zhong. In addition, Xinjiang Kingho is planning to construct a coal mining project of ten million tons to ensure the raw material supply for coal-to-gas project.

How to protect the natural environment of Xinjiang while accelerating the resource exploration is a concern worthy of provoking of all Xinjiang Kingho people. The recycling development model of “reduction, resource reuse, recycling” has been chosen by Xinjiang Kingho for protecting the environment. Advanced crushed coal pressure gasification technology in combination with low-temperature methanol cleansing were adopted in the production procedure of coal-to-gas proejct(5.5 Billion Cubic Meters/Year), which greatly reduced pollutant emissions. The polluted water would be only be diverted to the recycled water system and reused after going through sewage treatment unit and reaches level 1 standard, as to avoid the pollution from the waste water.
It was learnt that the investment amount of Xinjiang Kingho is up to 15.1 billion Yuan including the used 12.2 billion Yuan for coal-to-gas project and related supporting projects in Xinjiang in the past three years.
“2013 is a critical year for Xinjiang Kingho to realize a new leap, and we have identified 2013 as the “Year of Coal-to-gas Production”, “Year of Increase the Output Capacity of Mining Area”, “Year of Coal Utilization Production”, “Year of Experiment of Tacheng Oil-sand Mine Large-scale Development”, addressed by Xu Zhong. Xinjiang Kingho Energy Group Company Limited plans to complete an investment of 5.2 billion Yuan in 2013.

Many enterprises were attracted by Xinjiang after the Central Xinjiang Working Conference, Kingho Group was actually one of them. The coal-to-gas modeling project (5.5 Billion Cubic Meters) of Kingho is a landmark energy development project, having a significant meaning in our region. The project construction would do a favor to improve the demonstration layer and level of the local coal-to-gas technology, promote the shifting of coal resources to economic advantages. It has significant meaning to make use of the local resource advantage to complement the shortage of oil and gas nationwide, to secure national energy safety, and to promote the regional economic and social development.
